How to Stencil a T-Shirt
How to create your own unique T-shirt
b
It's quick and simple to stencil a t-shirt you will need the following equipment:-
- T-shirt
- piece of card
- stencil
- spray mount / masking tape
- fabric paint
- stencil brush / roller
- possibly an iron to fix the paint if recommended by paint manufacturer
Now you have all you need just follow these few easy steps:-
Step 1:
Place a piece of thick card under the area to be stenciled (just to stop the paint bleeding through the fabric)
b

Step 2:
Secure your stencil in place - We recommend using spray mounty adhesive or masking tape.
b

Step 3:
Paint the stencilled area using fabric paint. It is best to build up the cover of paint gradually and leave the stencil in place until you are happy with your work.
b

Step 4:
Peel away stencil and allow paint to dry - you could always help speed up this process by using a hair dryer on the painted area.

Step 5:
Some fabric paints require fixing with a hot iron. Make sure you place a tea towel or piece of paper over the paint to stop it sticking to the iron. Follow the paint manufacturers instructions for this stage.
b
Step 6:
Wear your finished T-shirt with pride!
